I should have posted this a while ago, but during a few weeks throughout October, they filmed a movie called "1000 to 1" here on Gettysburg College campus! It's about the true story of a young basketball player who suffered from a devastating stroke during his freshmen year at Gettysburg. He made a miraculous recovery but still had a long way to go before he could play his first basketball game with the team. During the final game of the season, he was able to start in his first ever college basketball game and even score his first point. David Henrie from the Disney show "Wizards of Waverly Place" plays Cory Weissman in "1000 to 1". I was lucky enough to have the chance to experience a ton of the filming, and my friends and I are even in the crowd in the big basketball scene at the end! Also, one of my friends actually plays basketball and he was asked to be one of the rival team players in the movie. It was an amazing experience and I encourage you all to see the movie when it comes out next year!
What a cool experience! I will keep an eye out for it.
