Boscha's new accessories! A front bike rack and SOLAR. Ladies and gents we are off the grid. Except fuel. Don't know how we will manage that one... An electric van? We'd go 20 mph instead of 40 mph.

@awesomecameras Of course! We will be writing a blog post about it soon, but in short, no-brand name one, got it from a friend... But it's 2 30 watt panels, with a generic controller connected to our auxiliary battery. Briefcase style with a kickstand so we can chase around the sun. It could be mounted but it's not. So @hurricanehugo, no it's not the @gowestycampers version but I'm sure there's is perfectly awesome.

This little birdy friend has been with us since day one, clinging tightly to the driver's door handle through high winds, snow and rain. From New England, to CA, to AZ and now back to San Diego! Yes, we have circled back to beautiful Southern Cali and are stoked for a summer of surfing along the west coast. Does anyone know of any free camping areas near San Clemente?
Not free but cheap off of christianitos/san onofre. So beautiful, too
If you come to Newport Beach you can park along the beach as long as you move during street sweeping days.

There are few camper vans parked in the neighborhood. If you only pop the top at night you shouldn't have an issue. It's worth a look. Ps I love the mission and the vibes.

Brave wild animal #1. Two Grand Canyon mule deer decided to eat all evening (and night and morning!) next to our campsite.
Is that what those are? We saw them all over the south rim.

At the bottom of the Grand Canyon we camped alongside Bright Angel Creek with a handful of very brave wild animals... Of which we will tell you about soon...

@wheresmyofficenow hiking rim to rim. We are heading to the North Rim tomorrow to hang out. If you haven't made it to that side, you need to fit it in. It is worth the time and effort
@garthmcupp Amazing!! One day or two? We didn't make it to the North Rim this time but we will be back. We really want to hike down to Supai and stay for a few days. Sounds like a unique experience given the Havasupai people live there... Most remote village in America.

We are doing it in a day. Taking some time on each rim to make the most of the weekend. I have not been to Havasupai, but everyone I am hiking with have been multiple times ad say it is definitely a unique experience and is one of the best experiences of their lives. Have a great time.

"Whoa, we go down THERE?" - The scale of the Grand Canyon was unfathomable until we hiked down into it. 7 miles down South Kaibab. Camped at Bright Angel Campground, then hiked up Bright Angel. Look closely on the left of this photo, you'll see little people like marching ants.
Was just there on Thursday...incredible!

For the past couple of months we've been warding off evil mice with eucalyptus oil. Today, after completing a 17-mile Grand Canyon overnight trek, we discovered that Boscha had been stormed by an army of mice. Paranoid of the hantavirus and utterly exhausted, we scrubbed and bleached until we could no more. Oh, and the Grand Canyon was mind blowing. Pictures coming soon. After we protect ourselves and Boscha from the mice infiltration.
Because of the Hantavirus outbreak here in Yosemite last year, the CDC took blood samples from park employees to see if any of us had developed antibodies to the virus. Turns out 2 or 3 employees had developed antibodies and they are now working on a possible vaccine. I think that's pretty gnar!
We've had success keeping mice out of our vanagon by using peppermint oil.
@benjaminjames @wheresmyofficenow have the essential oils worked well for you guys? How do you apply it?
@clementimes it was working well for us using cotton balls in Sedona. @benjaminjames do you have a better application method? We tried peppermint oil here at the Grand Canyon but we could only find the kind you cook with.. Apparently not strong enough.

@wheresmyofficenow bummer! Mesh screen the fresh air vents on the grill and battery box breather. They can get in with a dime sized opening....also Fresh Cab seems to work well, it's expensive , but money back guarantee! I know a lot of farmers that use it. Good luck guys!

@clementimes @wheresmyofficenow we put the cotton balls in glass jars, punch holes in the lids, then add a bunch of peppermint oil. Has been working well for us!
