Today's carry: Michael Morris FF and GEC 89 Gambler. The 89 is from the GEC line. This means the knife comes with an acorn shield and SS blades. The Gambler is a basic melon tester knife. A melon tester was used to take a core sample of fruit. The long thin blade made easy work of this task. This is a nice, thin folder not for hard, yard work but does make a nice desk knife.

My GEC 73s. The black one is a 72 but the frame and feel is very similar to a 73 so I threw it in the photo.

Today's carry: a 2007 GEC 73. Bought this used. Had basically no edges but 1095 comes back to life fairly easily. Pocket carrying in a hip pocket sheath. The sheath keeps the knife vertical in my pocket. Slipjoints have a tendency to go sideways and become uncomfortable to carry.

Cue Back In Black. Today's carry: GEC Cody Jack (top) and GEC Outlaw Jack. The Cody is in linen micarta and the Outlaw is in Buffalo Horn. I believe a knife can be called a jack knife because of the handle shape or having two or more blades operating on the same pivot.
