Our next question comes from a mama that would like to remain anonymous, so here's a pic of cutie Cash rocking sandals and cool Parker in his awesome iplay shoes! Hi Mamas! Here's my question...my son is 13 months old and just started really walking on his own a few weeks ago. Now my family is insisting that I take him to get hard-soled walking shoes, however, I read new research that shows it's better for kids to walk barefoot or in soft-soled shoes while they're still learning as it's easier for them to learn balance, etc.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what is right? My (old-school) parents are telling me that I'm ruining his arches with each day that passes without supportive walking shoes...but I tend to think they're overly dramatic :) Thanks in advance!
