This is me. The real me. Yes clearly you can see I'm ugly and my mouth is not normal. I was born with a cleft palate (a hole in the mouth) and that lead to an underbite (your bottom jaw is out further than the top jaw). I've been bullied about it ever since I was in year 1 when it became noticeable. I am now in year 11 (repeated a year) and I still cop it. I never asked for it. I can't just make it magically disappear. Recently it has become a problem; my speech has a lisp and I can't eat things like an apple or a sandwich. (I can't bite) I have been rejected and rejected for orthodontic treatment because for my old orthodontist I was too old to start and my referred orthodontist is a bitch. Then I made the decision to get another one. As soon as I walked into his room he made a plan for me and I start treatment in 2 weeks. First is getting 6 teeth out. Then getting an expander and braces. Then last phase is the huge jaw surgery which won't be done till the end of next year after the HSC. I've never felt so good about this in my life . bring on the pain! no more bullying for me !
