Six months ago, on the day of hurricane Sandy, my friends and i picked up a fellow surfer trying to get back to Brooklyn from Rockaway Beach. He ended up riding out the storm with us. Tonight he called me and told me he was leaving New York. He left me with his board. Somehow this board means a lot... A reminder to be open to the unexpected. Safe travels @hereandnowfully
