This is probably representative of all meals I will have here :( everyday we are eating the same thing! I will prob be slimmer when I return home. Yesterday we had a whole baby lamb roasted for us (served with the head). I only had a tiny bite. Was traumatized by it.

Arrived in Mongolia. Weather is cooling and slightly dry. Vast landscapes which require long periods of traveling on coach. Traditional chinese food not my cup of tea. Toilets leave a lot to be desired. Heading to the grasslands today for a Mongolian Yurt experience!

Famed bak kut teh from Shah Alam. Apparently it's known as the creator of bak kut teh. Unlike our Singapore style which is peppery and clear, this one had a heavy hand with the salt. The tea is not meant for drinking, rather it's meant to be had with the rice.

Strawberry vanilla sponge cake. The cream has been dyed pink by the strawberry. Not sure if it's on purpose but it seems as if the cake isn't that fresh.

Cream looks like its been standing for too long and the strawberries leaked. Perhaps it wasn't chilled when it was supposed to. But still looks edible!

Finally I got wifi! You will be amazed at how hotels in Malaysia are stingy with their wifi. This strawberry marshmallow cheesecake is the bomb! Sweet and fluffy on top, and creamy and light at the bottom.

Went to Salahuddin Bakery, the oldest bakery in Johor Bahru. Three generations of bakers and they still use the traditional charcoal stove to bake their breads. They are known for their coconut buns, 5 for RM2.50.
And best is its not tiny at all! So yummy!
Yeah their buns are the best! Can't find them anywhere else!

Sirloin steak, medium rare with mixed vegetables and potatoes. The meat was tough and hard to saw through. Not sure if I'm too used to eating ribeye and tenderloin that this cut has become something hard to bite.

Sea salt caramel chocolate tart. Love how the crust doesn't crumble when I cut the tart. The sea salt flakes on top was a nice touch.

Cajun marinated chicken with scrambled eggs and truffle fries. The sauce was the saving grace of the chicken which was a bit dry. I had to get extra helping of the sauce. After having the truffle mushroom soup, I found the truffle oil insufficient for the fries.

Chuoi Nuong, Nam Bo sticky rice banana, from Vietnam. The very first stall at WSF. The banana wasn't ripe enough but the 'pengkang' taste was quite fragrant.

Kue Pukis from the Kue Pancong stall from Indonesia. This is a sweet and fluffy pancake. Tried the Pancong from the stall too (tester from the stall owner). That was also very good. Coconut like pancake, best dipped in sugar.
I thought it was lemon flavor !!! Lol

@wrecklessly hey Vin. When I went it was free entry cos I cut out a coupon from straits times. Normal entry would be $28. $8 entrance fee and $20 food voucher. The food ranges from $3.50-$10+. Average about $8-10. The three of us spent $60 so I guess is pretty ok. Food serving is quite small though

@mostlymikey I would say the chicken 65, Penang laksa and tostada. The fish taco wasn't worth the $10. I heard the porc burger from Denmark is very good too but didn't try it because I had this.

Very late lunch or extremely early dinner. Must be one of the few people who have yet tried the sizzling, tangy, spicey double red peri scorcher. The spicy mayo does indeed burn and the chicken is tender. Using my lychee mcfizz to put out the flames.
