I bet you never thought you'd hear me say that I have the prettiest polyester dress. It's such a pretty turquoise color. I paired it with Indian slippers and a thrifted man's hat that are browner in real life than they appear in this photo, the dress is pretty true to color; a coral belt and a feather necklace. Lips are coral, nails are my signature color, Essie Mint candy apple which happens to be the very same color as the dress.

Some treasures thrifted from a shop next to the restaurant where we're having Mother's Day brunch: this gorgeous collar, some beautiful new thimbles and a Schwinn bicycle pin. I also got a new hat.
@runbeekrun yeah :/ the lady was older and wanted to retire so thankfully it was closing so she could enjoy the rest of her life rather than it closing because of lack of business

@runbeekrun I'm wearing it in the most recent photo I posted! ^_^ it does make me sad when beautiful thrift shops close down because they're not very frequented :/ that happens a lot here because the rent, taxes and properties themselves are high. It's hard to operate your own business which is why I like to support local businesses whenever possible.
I agree completely with the sentiment expressed above and support independent shops as frequently as I can. Just checked out your latest photo and not only is that hat beautiful but you look absolutely stunning.
@runbeekrun it's important not just for the economy to sometimes spend a few extra bucks on something rather than getting it from a well known super store but you might also buy something one of a kind, handmade and of better quality that will last longer. In the case of thrifting though, you get a better deal as well so why not rifle through things on your day off? And thank you so much lovely lady!!!
