In my May nutrition challenge group someone challenged us to make a shakeo in a new way! So here is my concoction! 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 scoop chocolate shakeology,1/2 c canned pumpkin, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and ice! I've added pumpkin before but never the spices! The boys had some friends over for a play date and one of the sweet kiddos said "Mrs. Nicks, what do you have for snack?" I rattled off all my snack options and she walked away with a funny look, turns around and says, "don't you have any chips or cookies or ice cream?" I replied, "Nope, I can make you a smoothie?" I love that I don't have it in my house! Cause I'd eat it!!!!

Asylum 2 has a day called Championship! It's basically "Game Day" everything you train for during the week all wrapped up in 1 brutal workout! Today was fit test #1. I made it 7 rounds! Sweaty and proud and pumped!! I love this workout!!!!

Alright my one gallon weekend challengers! We did it!!!!!! Last drop just went down! Today I was shocked at how easy it was to suck it all down! I drink a gallon every day and I love it! Definitely feel I a difference if I don't. I can't gulp it though, I LOVE to drink from a straw! Strange addiction maybe, but seriously, try it!!! I find that I drink so much more, so much faster!!! Maybe it's just less overwhelming? Anyway, keep going!!! You will for sure start to crave it!!

Rest days have always been difficult for me! Now I've learned to enjoy them! Why do we need em? Because when you are doing a program that involves weight training you have to allow your muscles to rest and repair! So rest so your muscles can replenish energy lost and be ready to work hard for you tomorrow! So today.. I'm enjoying!!

@mommywonderland just learned my lesson about rest days was pounding insanity asylum 6 days a week and not taking the rest days it took its toll on the form of a pulled back now I haven't been able to work at all this week. From now on I'm following the calendars 100 percent if it say rest im resting

So I'm embarrassed to show you what not workin out for 3 weeks did to me, but I was so shocked to see how fast my tummy has changed! It's almost unbelievable but I promise you! Asylum 2 is so hard but clearly....it works!! If you want a 30 day challenge...email me!!!! You will have to work! And be willing to waddle like a penguin! So sore! But this just gave me the boost to press play today! Track your progress with pics and measuring tape! Not the scale people!!!
@princesshaidley it's totally different! There are only 2 days of crazy cardio! Asylum mixes in a day of pure muscle isolation and another day of weights! So good!!!
It sounds like something I'd enjoy way more. With using the ladder and agility rope. If I got it would it be best getting asylum 1 because it come with the equipment?

Following the Asylum 2 meal plan. Trying to eat 6x a day is harder than I thought! But today, I felt successful and full and satisfied! 1321 calories!

By far the hardest workout I have ever ever ever done in my entire 33 years of existence! Ok..maybe not as a child competitive gymnast but talk about MUSCLE BURNOUT!!! I learned something from my workout this am I wanted to share! I've always heard trainers say "engage your core" but never knew what that meant. Here's what I've learned to help us: engaging your core doesn't mean to suck in your stomach. Sucking it in actually destabilizes. π³ Oops! So how? β³Use your front 6-pack muscles to "pull-up" on the front of your pelvis(not in), then bear down a little in order to push your abdomen out in all directions! So people have asked how I get up into these crazy yoga handstands I've been playing around with...so I did a step by step for ya! First you want to stand by the wall (carpet is awesome) kick up so you get your feet to the wall. Then straighten out your body and adjust your hands. A hollow back just means you drop your hips and your booty down creating the arch in your lower back! Then take it further and extend your legs away from the wall...this tests not only your flexibility but your core and shoulders and back muscles!! Try it and tag me! Lets play!!!!
