The best part about spring are the jacaranda trees. I'm usually on the loook out for their bright purple blooms, but with studying for finals and Crooks' passing, I hadn't noticed them. Today, I finally noticed them.

It is like A Beautiful Mind up in here. I am surrounded by papers and flashcards. My Statistics final is tomorrow. Thankfully, it isn't cumulative. This has been a very long and difficult week. Having my finals over and done with will be such a relief.

Goodbye, my beautiful, feisty Crookshanks. You will be missed so much. I take comfort in knowing you were ready to go and I was ready to let you go. We first found her in our neighbor's bushes 12 years ago and we've never looked back. She was a playful, feisty cat and she was spoiled and deeply loved. It's going to be hard not to see her everyday, but I'm looking forward to remembering her with more fondness than sadness. Right now I'm just very sad. But with the love and support of my family, we'll get through it.

So sorry mama but at the same time glad she is not suffering anymore and is now rejoicing in heaven, playing with many colorful yarn balls. I will miss those big blue eyes.
