Finally, a #birchbox that I'm proud to share! Klorane dry shampoo, suki foaming cleanser, laqa & co cldanser, cc nail polish and a twist band. I'm not even mad about the twist band. WOO! I have had like give craptastic months, glad to have my birchbox back. What was in your box this month?
Can you review the dry shampoo when you have time? Pretty pls?
@danicaj just used it! First thoughts - it's a very powerful spray, and it shows a white residue when you first spray it, especially if you spray it close to your head. I pulled up some hair and sprayed it underneath, as well as an overall spray about 12 inches easy from my head. I let it stay for 2 minutes and brushed it out - no residue left over, and my hair looks light, shiny and clean. Better than the suave or serge normant shampoos that I've tried in my opinion. Light smell, not sticky. I'm a fan!

So, this month for julep maven was a little weird. I had ordered the Boho glam box and added on two polishes. I selected the "light" shade of DD creme, but never saw a shipping notification, so I contacted their customer service (which is stellar). They told me that they had run out of the light DD creme and decided to not restock it. I had the option of either skipping the box this month, switching to the It Girl box or receiving the box and switching to the medium DD creme. I'm pretty sure the medium DD creme would be too dark for my skin, so I asked her if I could still receive the polishes I had selected for the month, just no DD creme, which she was able to do for about the same price as the original box. So, that's what I got this month. From left to right, Nan, Bunny, Lexie and Dianna, which I'm most excited about!
Has anyone else had a weird maven month? I wish I had a chance to try the DD creme!
I got the Modern Beauty box and was so bummed out that the DD cream and concealer were worthless. I emailed Julep and within 2 days they credited my account with 1,000 Jules
How strange. I forgot all about making a selection this month, and they sent me the DD cream and concealer. I LOVE the cream. I like the concealer, but not as much as the urban decay pencil I already use. But still, I think it was a good deal. The medium DD cream is an EXACT match to my skin tone, I'm really happy with it! Sad to hear others were not as fortunate. The only downer is that my cream feels as if its less than 1/4 full
I could've sworn I switched my box from the nail polish trio to the DD creme and concealer. I was too busy to notice if there was an email of my new selection but assumed the change was made. When I got my box, I was surprised to see the trio of nail polish. I was disappointed but read all the commotion with the DD creme that I just kept the polishes haha
Same thing happened to me so u got the it girl box. I really wanted to try the DD cream though...

The DD creme and concealer in Light is very orange, I wasn't impressed. It may work after I get a little sun, but overall I would not repurchase. Also, tubes were wimpy - not even half full. There have been a ton of complaints about both products on social media.
I got the medium dd cream and its suuuuper dark!! I usually have to mix foundations to get the right shade anyway but this one was really really dark and the base was super orange so I can't use it :( now I'm stuck with a crappy dd cream and the yellow and green polishes which I thought would be much nicer shades!
I ordered the DD cream and concealer box, no add ons. A few days later I received an email from Julep telling me that they were sold out of the light and were refunding my money. I politely complained in a response to the email and they gave me 1,000 Jules for the "inconvenience". But now that I've read reviews on the concealer, I'm kinda glad that they sold out.

I feel so freaking awkward and nervous posting these - but here are my nails today, short little baby eggs with Julep Avery and Denver. After six weeks of breaking bs I'm finally okay with even sharing them. I had to go outside to get the true color of Avery to show, it's such a pretty pink!

If you're wondering why I haven't posted a picture of my nails in five weeks, it's because they keep breaking and look horrible. I have trimmed them down to nubs three times and each time after a week they break. Badly. Like unpatchable badly. I've been using Julep's oxygen treatment and Julep mighty, lush lemony flutter and essie/CND cuticle oil, and still nothing helps. I've used nail envy and nail magic in the past without much luck. I take vitamins, drink a lot of water and have a balanced diet. If you have any tips on how I can help my nails grow and not break, please help me out! #nails

I've discovered cutting them can in courage ridges to grow which encourages breakage. Try filing only, might help
Oh yeah and I take biotin every day just for good measure. Besides, show us some of your art on short nails :)

Yay more #nailmail! I absolutely loved my #julepmaven box this month. I decided to get the modern beauty box which included a lipstick trio, mascara (which has been my lemming since it came out) and sugar lip scrub, plus those cute hair pins. I actually decided to switch to their all-product box this month, Modern Beauty, with the Sugar Smooch lip Scrub, New York Jazz Lipstick Trio and American Beauty volumizing mascara (I've been wanting it forever!). My April #birchbox finally came - I am surprised at how gigantic the #nexxus sample is!! Going to go try it out on my already damp hair now. Excited to try the #sumita shadow stick as well, and glad I got it in purple instead of the pink the site was showing me - it will compliment my brown eyes much better. The Yes To products look just ok to me, the scrub and serum are magazine-sized samples. I hope the cucumber soothing towelettes are good! What was in your birchbox? I use the Yes To grapefruit towelettes, the carrot shampoo and conditioner, hand lotion and a face cream. Love all the Yes To products I have tried. And they are paraben-free.

@oopyult7 this image is specifically for Instagram, which is why my watermark is so close to my hand. The photo on @thenailartstory's page is from my blog, where I put my watermark on the bottom right corner, you can see it there in that photo. This particular manicure photo has been taken and edited many times by many people (you can see that the photo on her page is not my original photo), I wouldn't be surprised if someone removed my watermark. In a perfect world, I wouldn't have to worry about thieves. If I do see this without credit, I ask for it, and if I don't see it, I hope I inspire someone to try nail art.

Thank you to the lovely Ginny and Donne at @heynicenails for sending me the coolest nail jewels in the world! I love them, check out this Pegasus! I used @chinaglazeofficial Mimosas Before Manis and #orly High On Hope for this manicure. I glued the jewel on with nail glue and did a thin coat of julep's freedom top coat to make sure it stays in place. I'm in love with these colors!
