@kristenfortman I have waited two years to take this #fromwhereipartake . While @greggboydston@jvtm and I were in Portland, OR two summers ago visiting @emilysahoot and @annacrooks we stumbled upon the Oregon Brewers Festival. That's where I had my first Hell or High Watermelon which is, as you would think, a watermelon flavored beer. Super tasty, super seasonal, and super unavailable anywhere south of Northern California. But lucky me, it's time for the summer seasonals and I now live in Oregon. Oh, tasty summer in a can!
@kristenfortman With fire season quickly approaching, @greggboydston is eager to get out there and fight the fires as well as see all the beautiful sights that come along with them. How great would it be to witness a pine tree burst into flames illuminating you and your fellow Hotshots?
@kristenfortman A wildfire bring land new life. The flames heat up the seed pods which cause them to expand and release the seeds. This is why we see a bunch of charred tree remains and among them, tree saplings full of life.
@kristenfortman Yep. You're right. You are absolutely correct. That's a 1/2 pint. And it was all mine. Except I couldn't finish it... Thanks @greggboydston for helping me out! This place has the best mushroom soup ever, by the way.
@kristenfortman Some campground are prettier than other. This particular one looked like a jungle. I was waiting for King Louie, Mowgli, and Baloo to come around every corner. These clover looking things were huge by the way. Almost as big as my palm.
@kristenfortman The time has come. Time to say goodbye for now. We will cross paths again sometime soon, I'm sure of it, Eastern Sierras. In the meantime, stay cool. We will be missing you. @greggboydston
@kristenfortman This is my last day in Mammoth. In a way, I'm sort of sad. But mostly, I'm excited for a new adventure. The people I genuinely liked spending parts of my winter with are moving away for the summer just like we are. All the sucky people are staying. Okay, not all of the people staying are sucky. Lets stay positive. I can't wait to get my puppy!
