Day 19: Worst death ever. The death of Sebastian Shaw's scene at the end of Return of the Jedi. Fett or Maul would deserve this spot but their stories have both been retconned. George Lucas pulled the trigger on the death of Shaw in this scene, replacing him with younger Anakin from the prequels rendering this scene stupid and nonsensical. Day 18: Overrated character. Okay, let's be clear. I like Boba Fett a lot. I think he looks like a total badass, that armour is amazing, but really, on all the onscreen appearances he does nothing. The original trilogy sees him standing around a bit, being a glorified delivery boy and then being knocked into the sarlacc pit by a blind guy. In the prequels we see him as a kid, almost feels like they where obligated to squeeze him into the story due to his popularity. The Clone Wars TV series sees him fail his missions time and again. I know that one of the points a lot of you will bring up his how awesome he is in the books and I'll give you that. Day 17: Video game. Okay so I'm going to cheat just a tad on this one cause seriously I can only pick one? There is a reason I such a ridiculously huge Star Wars videogame collection. I love most of them. That said there are some totally craptacular ones as well. So I'm going with the series that has probably drained more of my life than any other from the franchise X-wing, Tie Fighter and subsequent merged game. Such a great space sim which allows you to hop in and pilot these magnificent starfighters. To be honest, the game hasn't aged too well, with the exception of Alliance, the rest look blocky, that's if you've got a machine capable of running the games. I have much love for BF, KOTOR, Rebel Assault an a heap of other great games based in the SW universe, but if I really have to crown one king, it would be this series. #jsbmayphotochallenge #starwars #blackdeathcrew #fettupsmayswphotochallenge #seriouslyicanonlypickone?

Day 16: Under used character. The Emperor's royal guards. These totally badass looking dudes get barely any screen time in the original trilogy and to add insult to injury, in ROTS two of them get knocked out by Yoda in a fraction of a second. I recently read up on Kir Kanos and at the very least he was a non force sensitive and I got the impression all Royal Guards were non force sensitives. The Emperor demanded non for sensitives so that they remained pure and incorruptible to the force, hence their unswerving loyalty to the Emperor and Empire after his death.

Day 15: Favourite action figure. This dude. The poor Snowtrooper is in a fairly bad state, as you can see, he's had a rough time however he's my fist Star Wars action figure I ever owned, I got him at the age of 3. The poor trooper has gone up against not only Rebels but Cobra, Stavros Blofeld and countless other foes. He's parachuted off buildings, went diving in bathtub under water battles and countless other tours of duty. This unnamed solider has earned a place in my display cabinet next to all the Sideshow collectables, Gentle Giant and other more valuable figures I have on display. Day 14: Favourite Robot. I thought long about this. There are so many cool robots in Star Wars that I love. IG-88, HK-47, mouse droids, R2D2, the ever lazy R5. The list goes on, however is repressed homoerotic fantasy of Lucas's never fails to give me a laugh. He's bumbling, whiny and has no sense of timing when it comes to conversations. Day 13: Favourite ship. Sienar Fleet Systems Tie Advanced x1 Star Fighter prototype. Best know for its ridiculously short screen time as Vaders Starfighter in the trench run scene of a new hope. It's a better equipped, shielded and more menacing looking Tie Fighter also unlike most tie, it was also equipped with a hyperdrive. I find it way to easy to label the siths as atheist and the jedi as any religious cult. I mean, think of the force as life. The jedi make restrictions for them self so they can't live life fully, just like modern day religion. Sith in the other hand do whatever they wish to accomplish their goals. That's why I have to say I'm always rooting for siths.

Day 10: Favourite lightsaber. Well not exactly the one pictured, the wii controller lightsaber is actually a hunk of crap but for this exercise its meant to represent Vaders lightsaber. There are lots of elegant saber designs but Vaders one is not that. @thisjonoguy I prefer the more traditional single blade. Vader's fighting style is less show and more direct and forceful whereas the double blade I think requires the user to be more agile and make more unnecessary movements. Personal choice really but I love that more brutal and purposeful style.

Day 9: Favourite book. This one surprised me a bit. The Thrawn trilogy has reigned supreme in the EU of books for a long time and is still one of my favourites to date. Darth Plagueis however is a very well written book. It's intriguing and manages to do the unthinkable, it tidies up the massive plot holes of the prequels trilogy so that it actually makes some sense now. Day 8: Memory of Star Wars. There are too many fond memories from my first toy to the first time I lined up at the cinema in anticipation for ep1 (the anticipation was a fond memory, what the movie that followed not so much) but there is one that stands out and that is the memory of seeing this scene for the very first time. Here is a very crudely constructed diorama of Vaders entry on the Tantive IV. This scene blew my mind and for ever is one of my favourites from the entry franchise.
