Respooling film
@notraces got it off of eBay. It's a prinz film guide. But bought out before it went up to $60-$70. They used to cost $10 @wrongaperture Leicas need the space. If you don't do it with Leica scremount film chips eil break off and jam the winding mechanism. @horacekenneth thanks!
Never heard of that before but then again I haven't ever used a Leica, screwmount or otherwise. Closest I get is my Zorki 4.
@wrongaperture no one ever does it but come on! If you buy a Ferrari or Porsche your not going to treat your car with 711 gas. Same thing for a Leica. Feed it well. This was how the film was intended to be cut to use. Just SLRs don't really need it. Bottom loading need this, and it's also easier to load
@eskimogus thanks - not really necessary with a M - but the taper is nice.
@notraces yea I know bob. With the back door you really don't need it. But it's faster. I've had trouble a few times with the normal leads a few time where the top of the film got stuck in the focal plane window. The top just kinda slid in there and the back of the body gripped the film and had I play with it to get it out. With this cut never jams. But yea I wouldn't spend that much for the cutter.

Lol I think I might be better sculpting . I sculpted a really close replica of my Leica M3 and a jar resembling the lens. They both have wheel thrown elements but alot of sculpting.
@eskimogus I saw that, it's really good. I'm taking sculpture so I can hopefully get better at it. It's my weak spot when it comes to ceramics

I am! Lol so the film was used and so you really used it?
@ohsnap77 I didn't know it was exposed already. Usually a camera rolls out film while you shoot it. I forgot my gfs camera pulls all the film out and rewinds while you shoot. So when the frame counter said 8 shots I thought it only took 8 shots. She had that left lol
