@mike_lawrey2013 personally i think whey is your best bet in regards to protein shakes. However, getting protein from natural foods is also a good idea. A quick snack i usually have is apples with peanut butter. Try it. It's both high in protein and delicious

@undacovapearl26 in order to increase your speed when running you will have to increase your vo2 max. Your vo2 max is the amount of oxygen your body can function effectively. Of course the stronger it is, the faster you can run for longer durations. Ways to increase vo2 max rate is by doing speed work such as interval training on the track, hill training, farlets etc. if you have any questions about that please feel free to ask. Hope I helped!

@elsy_h well think of it this way. If you hold an apple you feel how much it weighs? That weight is being put into your body. Your body then takes time to digest that food. Like for example if you held a certain amount of food in your hand that weighed 1 pound, you would weigh the exact same as if you had consumed that 1 pound of food. The only difference is that it is your stomach as opposed to your hand. At night all (or most) of the food you've eaten throughout the day is all in your stomach still digesting. That is why you weigh more at night. And when you wake up in the morning, you weigh less because your stomach is empty and your body takes the nutrients in the food and uses them for your body. I hope this helped! If you don't understand what I just said, tell me and I'll try to reword it. :)

Ok, I understand! :) I also have another question, slightly similar. My stomach kind of pokes out after I eat. Is that the same kind of thing, or would it still do that if I had more muscle? Thanks!

@elsy_h yes basically it is just the food being in your stomach. I know it sucks :( but actually there are some ways to get your food to digest faster and that it by making your metabolism faster. You can do this by doing any kind of cardio workout, or even by eat certain types of foods that will make your metabolism faster. This way the food won't be in your stomach for as long. You can also try eating 5-6 small meals a day as opposed to 3 large meals. This will keep your metabolism fast and you wont be as hungry (this helps a lot because your stomach doesn't really expand as much) Again, if you have any questions, please ask! Hope I helped!!!! :)

@gabysaurus21 yes in order for whey protein to benefit you, it is recommended that you drink it if you workout daily. Also it's not a good idea to just rely on supplements for your daily protein. It's great if you get some protein from foods as well. Hope I helped!!!

@fit_and_lean @kingspeakz skaters are basically when hop you left foot forward and you right foot stays back. Then switch so your left foot is back and right foot forward. Make sure you swing your arms. If that's hard to understand you can find examples on YouTube. The scissor lunge hops are when you do lunges and everytime you complete on you hop up and switch legs.

@maryaminnov i totally understand and many people are in the same boat as you. However sometimes its easier for people to work out out home. All you really need is some running shoes for jogging (dont really need a treadmill you can just run outdoors) some dumbells for weight training, and they're are tons of exercises focusing on all aspects of the body that can be found on YouTube

This is so true! I've been doing Couch to 5K,, this is my 3rd time starting it. I never make it past week 3. Yesterday I started week 6! This past Saturday I ran for 20 mins, which is the longest I've ever gone, and didn't think I could make it.

They keep it well updated and are always making more workouts plus you can create your own. You also can go on YouTube and they have so many workouts. Don't give up!!! Stay strong! :)

@deecastro22 @fitness_l0v3r I would recommend going on YouTube and typing "p90x ab ripper x part 1" There are 2 parts of the workout. Each is 8 minutes long, a total of about 16 minutes. Very very very great workout. It will leave your abs burning (which is a good thing!) Try to do it every other day. And if it starts getting easy add more reps! I think the name of the username who posted the video is sunnyhgws so it is under his name. Best of luck!!!

Just think is junk food really worth that body? Most of the time when you have a craving for food it's actually really that your just thirsty. Drink lots of water because it keeps you full. Or try chewing gum to prevent from over eating. Best of luck!! :) @megannlancaster

Hi, I have a question for you.. I train from 5-7am 3 times a week. I do boxing which means a lot of cardio and we do some weights and sparring. I dont know what I should be eating before this. I think that it is what is holding back my weightloss and muscle gain because I dont have enough "fuel" to get me through. But I dont want to make myself sick by being full before. I am also lactose intolerant. Do you have any suggestions for me please?

@fitnesshealthhappiness yes your are completely right about having the right amount of fuel in order to complete a workout. You should be eating something within an hour of your workout however since you are training so early I will highly recommend eating a banana before your workout and even halfway through your workout.
