Made some homemade laundry detergent...see if it works!
Really well! Except I'm just starting to put them on at night and they seem to be giving him a rash. I just made a separate batch of detergent with no scents or fabric softener so ill see if that helps. @betsyking
There are def. obstacles along the way with CDing. Nighttime is a rough one. I think miles leaked every night no matter what. Rashes are tough, you can't use any cream, right? That will mess up your diapers, right?
I remember reading a book as a child that said somebody was as "ugly as homemade soap." I never understood that until now. Ha!
We do cd's during the day, and get a pack of the 12 hour pampers for night, so we only end up using one pamper a day and it only ends up being 10 bucks a month for that. Also allows for time to use diaper rash cream if needed!
@betsyking ha! It is ugly! I think I'm going to just stick to disposables at night; it is a pain not being able to use diaper cream with CD's!
I use CD at night with no problem but my neighbor said she had a problem with the the ammonia burning the skin at night but its fine during the day! I can't imagine!
I wash my diapers with a combo of borax, washing soda and oxiclean. I switched to cotton prefolds and FINALLY found a wash routine I like and diapers that work well.
Littleboycentral uses coconut oil for any rashlike issues with her cloth diapers.

@jillshurley I have a couple different kinds, but the fuzzibunz are my favorite! What do you use?
We use gdiapers with hemp inserts... The g cloth inserts are horrible for absorbency. We love them! I have never tried fuzzibunz but they seem pretty popular!
Fuzzibunz still have snaps? I was always a Velcro girl, but they didn't last very long.
@betsyking @jillshurley They do have snaps! I have a couple g diapers, and I don't think they're very absorbent. But man I love not chucking bags of diapers in the trash!
