My little dudes last soccer game today was quite the interesting one to say the very least. Proud of our boys but some parents never cease to amaze me! Fights and cops is not the way you want to end the season. Not a happy mama!
@lollytc @elvisdiva @mssalti @stanberryh @lifeonisland I have never seen anything like what happened today. The other teams coaches wife said nasty things about our kids, flagged our kids off, called one of our girls on our team a fat girl and punched two of our parents in the face with lots of choice words involved. The game was forfeited and our kids were so upset. It was so unprofessional and unacceptable behavior coming from adults! Everyone is still shuck up by it. So sad.

I like the strawberry harvest, but Abita's Pecan Brew is my all - time favorite of their beers. VERY hard to find b/c it's so limited, but every year I buy 2 or 3 six-packs to get me through the year.

Manic panic has an awesome pink and its fast and easy!
@fortheloveofart78 I saw the Manic an almost bought it! How do you apply it? In strikes? It's also semi-perm too, right? I might have to go back to get that!
It's like a pasty thick gel. Can use a hair dye paint brush or I just put on a glove and smear it on my hair. It is semi perm. I love that stuff. I can only use it if I bleach part of my hair because hair is so dark.

My husband and I have a nontraditional thing in that we never had the pre-kid alone time many couples have because I already had my daughter when we met (from my previous marriage, although, my ex-husband consented to my husband adopting her). So this one night alone tomorrow feels like a huge treat. And we have plenty of years ahead of us to have the money to GO somewhere.
@hdeily15 When I met my husband whom I've been married to for 11 years this year my son was just 2 1/2 so I can definitely relate to the pre-kid thing. My sons father travels the world so he doesn't see our son much. Hope you guys had a great time out!

Today these words ring to my soul. I've endured a tremendous amount of heartache over the last 2 1/2 years since my mom passed away from my father disowning me after her death, to friends walking out of my life because I was grieving an they did not know how to lift me up and support me in my time of need and friends whom I have know all my life who, yes have grown into their own person with their own beautiful lives but I still continue to show my love and support only to be treated as a stranger, nobody to them. Friends and family love one another on their good and bad days.
So today has my heart hurts yet again I release those who are unhealthy in my life. I am a good hearted person (at least I think I am?) and don't deserve to be continuously hurt by those who don't nourish my soul. My heart will always forgive but can only take so much....

A very wise and beautiful friend of mine @yogiphotogjo once told me about this pose so I wanted to share with my peeps the benefits of it. πΉRelieves tired and cramped legs or feet πΉGently stretches the back of the legs, front torso and back of the neck πΉRelieves mild backaches πΉCalms the mind
Stay in this pose for 5-15 minutes. For your support you'll need one or two thickly folded blankets or a firm round bolster. Your sitting bones don't need to be right against the wall, but they should be "dripping" down into the space between the support and the wall. Lift and release the base of your skull away from the back of your neck and soften your throat. Don't push your chin against your sternum; instead let your sternum lift toward the chin. Keep your legs relatively firm, just enough to hold them vertically in place. Release the heads of the thigh bones and the weight of your belly deeply into your torso, toward the back of the pelvis. Soften your eyes and turn them down to look into your heart. Then to come up stay on your side for a few breaths and then exhale...#feeltheyogahigh

Before coming a mommy I never thought... About how important schedules and routines were.
Nor had I ever been peed, pooped or puked on.
Sleepless nights. What is sleeping in?? Worrying about healthy foods for my family. Boy have I learned a lot in 14 years.
Never did I think I'd put bandaids on bruises just to make my little one smile.
Loving handmade gifts from my babies.
Wearing holes in my clothes to give them clothes on their backs.
Loving staying at home to help with homework and drive them to soccer or dance.
I'd have a teenager going into highschool.
A daughter that is so full of life and love that she can't sit still.
Wiping up tears when they have been hurt or in trouble.
Rescuing turtles to put a smile on their faces.
Making a special rock collecting box for my little girl who loves rocks, bugs and rescuing anything that moves.
Playing toothfairy, Easter Bunny or Santa.
And gearing up for a teenager to be driving soon. Eek!
But over the past 15 years I've learned that unconditional love is unlike anything I've experienced. I am beyond blessed for these two loves of my life! πππ

Two years and now three Mother's Days have gone by without my beautiful mama.
I miss her hugs, her laugh and most importantly her love more and more with each passing day. She was the glue that held my family together. It was my mama that fed me first during hard times before she fed herself. Everyday when I look in the mirror I am beyond blessed to see her, in me.
So tomorrow on Mother's Day hug your mama tight and tell her how much you love her for the next day is not promised to us.
After she passed away I read the amazing book The Long Goodbye by Meghan O'Rourke and still to this day this quote sticks with me... βNothing prepared me for the loss of my mother. Day 9: SEXY #deltabliss -- This one I struggled with since I've never felt sexy or loved myself inside and out. After being told all my life that I'm fat or being judged because I have tattoos after awhile I began to believe those hurtful words. I have never looked in the mirror an thought to myself "I am sexy!". Even though my hubby tells me everyday that I am beautiful and sexy, I have to feel it.
But now I am at peace and loving who I am inside and out because it starts from working from the inside-out.

It is no easy task to care for our elders but I wouldn't have it any other way!!
